April 24, 2011 - inaugural UJA BJJ competition

fresh from ACL replacement surgery, this was my first full day off the bed and out of the house. what better way to spend it than volunteering all day at a BJJ competition? our friends at HKJJ put on their first Hong Kong BJJ competition. it ran smoothly, and mostly on time, though we had to open up the warm up area as a ring to keep things moving.

there was a very good turn out of tough competition from all over Asia, including Singapore, Philippines and Taiwan. the higher belt categories were pretty stacked too, so we got to see some great fights.

several of our guys competed and medaled, way to go everybody! Lok took a silver, and both Justin and Lung got bronze in their divisions.
